Drew and Sarah : CoOwners / Founders
Drew is our Head Trainer and specializes in Behavioral Modification and Rehabilitation. He is in charge of the Board & Train Programs and has been training dogs for over 20 years. His training methods are based on his decades of experience with thousands of dogs and continued education. Continued education provided by peer reviewed research based on best practice methods and time spent collaborating with colleagues in the field. Drew also spends time volunteering and fostering for our local rescue.
Sarah is a full time special education teacher. She has her Masters in Special Education and has a teaching credential in moderate/severe special education. She specializes in behavior modification and behavior supports. Her undergrad is in Child Development, during which time she also took classes in Animal Behavior. She has been training dogs for 15 years. She has 10 years of rescue and foster experience.
Tera - Sunshine Dog Walking
Tera has been walking and training dogs for over a decade. She specializes in working with dogs with behaviors and has the ability to build rapport with even the hardest of behavior cases, making her an invaluable member of our team. Our clients are thankful for her expertise and those within her business radius are extra thankful. All boarding dogs have the opportunity to sign up for add on walks with her.
Our Philosophy
We base our training off of communication, mutual respect, positive reinforcement and accountability. Our dogs are only as successful as we set them up to be.
